What is a ring bearer pillow?
During a wedding ceremony, it is a common tradition to incorporate a
ring bearer. This is usually a young boy normally in the age range of
3 to 10, but the range varies a lot and is a personal choice. The ring
bearer's task in the wedding ceremony is to carry the wedding rings down
the aisle. As part of this ring delivery, is the display of the rings
which has for many years been on a small pillow - usually about 8"
square. Whether this pillow contains the actual rings is also a personal
choice. In many cases, it does not as a security measure to ensure they
are not lost. Instead, no rings are attached or faux rings are used.
